Influence of geological structures on the occurrence of coalbed methane in Sima coal mine, China

Geological structures of Sima coal mine in Shanxi Province were analyzed to understand the control effect geological on occurrence coalbed methane (CBM) seam #3 mine. The CBM contents districts #2 and tested, effects buried depth, fault collapse column distribution content are studied. research results showed that: 1) average has a linear relationship with depth overburden thickness, but smallscale range dispersion between is very large. 2) Faults columns significantly affect local nearby, from largescale such as whole mining area, value at certain will not be affected by faults columns. 3) In hanging wall F29 normal fault, it roughly estimated that escape rate near 13.9%, while footwall this 0.7%–1.1%. show there significant difference influence footwall. 4) related development height column, cementation degree groundwater runoff conditions other factors.
